Romans 13:8 (NIV) - Let no debt remain outstanding
Psalm 37:21 - the wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous gives generously.
II Kings 4:1-2 - ...your servant has nothing at all... though this servant of God reversed and feared the lord
Gen 1:28 - the first commandment God ever gave is to be FAITHFUL, MULTIPLY and REPLENISH the earth.

                       10 BIBLICAL FACTS ON BORROWING

-    The scriptures are against such lifestyle (Deut. 15:6; 28:12, Psalm 133:1-2)
    THOU SHALT NOT BORROW is repeated over and over
    Curses followed are; you shall die young, your sons and daughters will be taken into captivity

-    It borders on wickedness (Psalm 37:21)
    Sickness is not SIN but it opens the door for Sicknesses, Demon possession, begging and diseases (Isaiah 53:5, Psalm 103:3, 1 Peter 2:24, Deut. 28:1, 15, 43)
    Borrowing and begging is a curse (Romans 13:8, Leviticus 19:13, Proverbs 3:27-28; 11:15 (NLT)- there is a danger in putting up security for a stranger's debt...)
    Evil men borrow without paying, but good men repay with some extra percent (proverbs 37:21)

-    it establishes you to servant-hood and slavery for life (Proverbs 22:7, Deut. 28:43-44)

-    It is anti-covenant (Deut. 28:12; 15:6)

-    It empties out your tomorrow, today
    MORTGAGE meaning MORT-death, GAGE-agreement

-    A proof of bad management (Luke 12:15)
    there is a difference between growth and swelling (Malachi 3:9)
    Tithe is the first discipline God expects of you

-    It is the act of looking away from God (Isaiah 31:1, Jer. 17:5, Romans 14:23-anything not of faith is sin)

-    An evidence that you do not practice savings, every great man always practices the principle of savings
    Proverbs 6:6-8 - learn from ants
    Joseph's formula - in the days of your glory, keep aside 20% as your savings (Genesis 14:35-36, Eccl. 7:14)
    Proverbs 21:20 - A foolish man spendeth it all, spends whatever they get
    Leviticus 19:10 - when God blesses you, keep a small percentage for the poor
